Lakeside Raceway
Lakeside is an interesting circuit that climbs and falls
and is a very high average speed circuit.
The circuit is located 30 km north of
Brisbane on Lakeside Rd about 8 km off the Bruce Hwy
The track is 2.41 km in length and the
direction of racing is clockwise.
The circuit does demand a well prepared engine and a brave
driver to do well due to the
high average speeds reached by superkarts!
-
Sadly,
due to economic reasons the track is
currently closed. It is hoped that this
fine, high speed circuit will reopen
very soon.

imminent re-opening of Lakeside Raceway
Queensland Raceway
Otherwise known as Willowbank
Raceway, this is a relatively new circuit in Australia and.
The circuit is located about 55km south-west of Brisbane just
off the Cunningham Hwy at Willowbank, near Ipswitch.
The full length circuit is 3.12 km in length and direction of
racing is clockwise.
The track is set in completely flat
terrain and is pretty much a turn and blast affair with many shortish straights
connected with tight bends
This track demands a good chassis setup to get the power down
early out of the corners and good brakes.
